Would this be considered destruction of property?

D*G*A*F* asked:

In the lease, I asked the renters to not park in the grass, and not to have old broken down vehicles in the yard. The grass is dead in the area that they had a junk car parked in the yard, not to mention a huge patch of yard filled with old tires and junk(beer cans mainly). The grass is so tall in the area, they cant even cut it. The grass is dead in the area where they would park the car in the grass, RIGHT next to the driveway. So would this be considered destruction of property?

They broke the terms of the lease – remember to keep your emotions out of this – they did not abide by the terms of the lease.

Good luck keeping cool:)

It most certainly is. They have violated the terms of the lease. You can sue for all damages, plus the cost of clean up if you can't get then to do it themselves.
