I live in Illinois and have a junk car that I want removed from my property. It's probably not worth even $100, but there are people who advertise in the paper that they'll buy junk vehicles for $100-$200. I really don't feel like going to the trouble to apply for a lost title when the car isn't worth anything, and the fee in my state is almost $100 anyway. Can I just sell the car as junk to someone and then let them deal with getting a new title for it?
I probably should add details…the car is an older (80s) Isuzu Trooper that doesn't belong to anyone. We bought a rental property last year and the car belongs to one of the tenants. He doesn't have the title for it, and it didn't belong to him anyway. It belonged to his grandpa who is no longer living. I'm trying to help him out and figure out how he can get rid of it…and help myself out too because we don't want the car on our property.

I've Been Looking Into Buy A New Car. The One I Have Is Ready For The Junk Yard. What Brand Of Car (In Your Opinion) Would Be A Good All-Around Car? Something Not Too Expensive, Good On Gas, And Generally A Well Rounded Vehicle To Own.

Hello, one of my friends called a junk car shop that posted an advertisement for junk cars. He claimed to own a vehicle that he did not own that was parked by someone on a street with a for sale sign on it. The junk car shop said it didn't need the title or keys (which he didn't have since the car isnt his) so they came and towed the car away thinkin it was my friends (they payed him $200 for it) the junk car shop was unaware the car wasn't my friends and the owner of the vehicle is not aware the car is gone (yet) what could potentially happen to my friend if he is caught for doing this?

In the lease, I asked the renters to not park in the grass, and not to have old broken down vehicles in the yard. The grass is dead in the area that they had a junk car parked in the yard, not to mention a huge patch of yard filled with old tires and junk(beer cans mainly). The grass is so tall in the area, they cant even cut it. The grass is dead in the area where they would park the car in the grass, RIGHT next to the driveway. So would this be considered destruction of property?

I registered a car at Motor vehicle in NJ(my first car)I was involved in a accident which left my car totaled. It was towed away and weeks later i called the tow company and asked if i brought them the title would they go ahead an junk the car because its no good to me they said no u still have to pay the accumulated storage fee balance.so now its been four months later and they set up a payment plan for me to pay off the full balance at which time i will be able to get back all my belongings an my plates. But im looking to purchase another car now and im worried motor vehicle won't allow me to register it an give me another set of plates without having my old license plates to surrender to them. and i believemy totaled car is still registered because i never canceled the registration on it. What am i supposed to do in order to get my new car registered once i buy it?? PLZZ HELP!! I dont wana buy the damn car then find out theres no way to register it an get new plates at least until i pay off my balance an surrender my old plates to motor vehicle.Will i be able to receive a replacement set until i can surrender the old ones??
