Has anyone used a Venom 400 performance control module?
Justin asked:
Has anyone ever tried a Venom 400 performance control module on any vehicle? I want to know if it actually works? Does it help deliver more fuel so that you get more power? I won't buy it if it is a piece of junk but looking at it, it sounds too good to be true. But I heard some people trying it and it's not good, and some people actually use it still. Well any suggestions on if this thing is worth it.

You heard right, it's pretty much garbage. If you can pick it up for cheap then it's worth it but really it doesn't do much. All it does is add fuel so your stoich 14.7 afr would change to a rich afr. More fuel isn't always more power but with simple boltons you can gain a decent amount of power with the venom 400.
I've talked to jose from python injection ( ) a few times and he offers great advice and support. I remember paying $300 or so for my venom400 pcm in 2001 so now i would expect them to be about $50 or less.
The venom400 is a piggy back that isn't adjustable. For the same price you could buy an safc and have an adjustable fuel controller for cheap.
If you want an easy installation and can get the venom400 for cheap just go for it. It's only 4 wires (tps, map/maf, 12v, ground) and easy to remove if you don't like it.
